A 330 ohm carbon film resistor in the standard quarter-watt through-hole package used throughout hobby and prototype electronics. The other standard LED current limiter, giving around 10 mA on a 5V rail - a common choice where LED brightness matters less than current draw. Value is marked with the standard four-band colour code. Remember the power rating when choosing: a quarter-watt part dissipating more than that will discolour, drift in value and eventually fail, so check current and voltage across the resistor in higher power circuits.
