The wide, short shape suits small readouts and status bars where a square display would not fit — wearables, compact instruments and panel indicators. Same SSD1306 controller, same I2C interface and same libraries as its larger sibling, so code ports directly. Compact strip shape fits narrow panels and wearables; Self-illuminating pixels give excellent contrast; Only two I2C pins needed; Same controller and libraries as the 0.96 inch version
