SS8550 Popular Low-Voltage, High-Current PNP Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT)

A PNP bipolar junction transistor rated at 25V collector-emitter and 1.5 A collector current, used for high side switching of heavier loads, and as the PNP complement to the SS8050. As a PNP device it conducts when its base is pulled low, which suits high side switching from a positive rail. Always fit a base resistor when driving it from a microcontroller pin - connecting a base directly to a logic output will damage both.
