Solid Shaft DC5-24V Incremental Photoelectric Rotary Encoder NPN Open Collector D6MM 600 Pulse

An industrial incremental encoder that reports shaft rotation as electrical pulses, for position feedback, speed measurement and length counting on machinery. At 600 pulses per revolution it resolves roughly 0.6 degrees per pulse in single-edge counting, or four times finer if you decode all quadrature edges. A common middle resolution offering good positional detail without producing a pulse rate that overwhelms a modest controller at speed. The NPN open collector output needs a pull-up resistor to your logic supply, and because it is incremental rather than absolute, position is lost at power-off and must be re-referenced against a home switch.
