A 300 kilo-ohm carbon film resistor in the standard quarter-watt through-hole package used throughout hobby and prototype electronics. A high value used in timing networks and very high impedance dividers. Value is marked with the standard four-band colour code. Remember the power rating when choosing: a quarter-watt part dissipating more than that will discolour, drift in value and eventually fail, so check current and voltage across the resistor in higher power circuits.
