470K Resistors

A 470 kilo-ohm carbon film resistor in the standard quarter-watt through-hole package used throughout hobby and prototype electronics. Common in long time-constant timing circuits and very high impedance input networks. Value is marked with the standard four-band colour code. Remember the power rating when choosing: a quarter-watt part dissipating more than that will discolour, drift in value and eventually fail, so check current and voltage across the resistor in higher power circuits.
