BMP280 barometric pressure sensor module.

Measures atmospheric pressure precisely enough to detect altitude changes of around a metre, and reports it digitally over I2C along with temperature. Used in weather stations, altimeters, drone altitude hold and indoor navigation. Because weather systems change ambient pressure, absolute altitude readings drift over hours — for accurate altitude you reference against a known sea-level pressure, while relative changes over minutes are reliable.
