A 1N5399 general purpose rectifier diode rated at 1000V and 1.5A. A higher current rectifier than the 1N4007, handling 1.5 amps at up to 1000 volts. Used in power supply rectification and protection where a 1A part is marginal. Supplied in the standard axial through-hole package with the cathode marked by a band. Rated 1000V reverse voltage and 1.5A forward current; Standard axial package fits breadboards and stripboard; Cathode band clearly marked; Very low cost and widely available
