Solid Shaft DC5-24V Incremental Photoelectric Rotary Encoder NPN Open Collector D8MM 800 Pulse

An industrial incremental encoder that reports shaft rotation as electrical pulses, for position feedback, speed measurement and length counting on machinery. At 800 pulses per revolution it resolves roughly 0.45 degrees per pulse in single-edge counting, or four times finer if you decode all quadrature edges. Higher resolution on the heavier 8 mm shaft for precision indexing and closed-loop control on larger machinery. The NPN open collector output needs a pull-up resistor to your logic supply, and because it is incremental rather than absolute, position is lost at power-off and must be re-referenced against a home switch.
