MQ-8 hydrogen gas sensor for leak detection and battery monitoring
●In Stock
Selectively detects hydrogen, with low response to alcohol, LPG and cooking fumes. Its main uses are monitoring hydrogen leaks around fuel cells and electrolysis experiments, and watching for the hydrogen that lead-acid batteries release while charging in an enclosed room. That last case is a real safety concern in battery rooms and off-grid installations. Needs the usual MQ warm-up period and a continuous 150 mA for its heater. Selective to hydrogen with few false triggers; Useful for battery room and fuel cell monitoring; Analogue output plus adjustable digital threshold; Stable long-term response
