Optical pulse sensor, clips to a fingertip to read heart rate
Shines light through a fingertip or earlobe and measures how the reflection changes as blood pulses through, producing an analogue waveform that peaks with each heartbeat. With the supplied example code an Arduino converts that into beats per minute. Good for wearable projects, fitness prototypes and teaching biosignal processing. To be clear: this is a hobby and educational sensor, not a medical device, and it should never be used for diagnosis or clinical decisions.
