Reads and writes 13.56 MHz MIFARE cards and tags over SPI, the standard choice for access control, attendance systems and inventory projects. Each card carries a unique ID plus rewritable memory sectors, so you can both identify a card and store data on it. Usually supplied with a card and a keyfob tag to get started. Note it runs on 3.3V — connecting it to an Arduino's 5V pin will damage it, though its data pins tolerate 5V logic from an Uno.
