Sound Sensor

Detects sound above an adjustable level, giving both an analogue output that follows loudness and a digital output that trips at the threshold you set with the onboard potentiometer. Common in clap switches, noise-activated lighting and sound-triggered recording. Important to understand what it does not do: it senses loudness, not frequency or speech. It cannot recognise words or distinguish a clap from a door slam of similar volume.
