433 MHz RF transmitter module for simple one-way wireless links
A low-cost radio transmitter for sending small amounts of data one way, over a range of tens of metres and straight through interior walls where infrared cannot go. Paired with a matching 433 MHz receiver it forms the basis of remote switches, doorbells, sensor links and simple telemetry. Range improves dramatically with a proper quarter-wave antenna — roughly 17 cm of straight wire — which is the single easiest improvement most people skip. Passes through walls, unlike infrared; Very low cost per wireless node; Simple serial-style data with the RadioHead or VirtualWire library; Range extends greatly with a wire antenna
