Water Level Sensor

A strip of interlaced conductive traces that reports how deep it is submerged: the more traces covered by water, the higher the analogue reading. Used for tank level indication, leak detection, overflow alarms and plant watering reservoirs. Best treated as an approximate level indicator rather than a precise gauge, and like all resistive water sensors the exposed traces corrode if left permanently energised — power it only when taking a reading.
