Multifunction Shield

A teaching shield that puts a whole practice environment on one board: a four-digit seven-segment display driven by 74HC595 shift registers, four LEDs, three pushbuttons, a potentiometer, a buzzer and a socket for an LM35 temperature sensor or infrared receiver. Excellent for classrooms and for anyone learning multiplexing, shift registers and button debouncing without wiring a breadboard first. Because it uses most of the Uno's pins, it is a learning tool rather than a building block for larger projects.
