Camera Shield
Camera shield for capturing still images from an Arduino project
Adds image capture to an Arduino for security triggers, time-lapse work and simple machine vision experiments. Images are captured to the shield and read out over a serial or SPI interface, typically stored to an SD card since an Arduino has nowhere near enough RAM to hold a photograph. Be realistic about what a small microcontroller can do here: this captures and stores images well, but real-time image processing needs a Raspberry Pi or ESP32-CAM instead. Happy to advise on which suits your project. Still image capture triggered from your sketch; Suits security, time-lapse and monitoring projects; Stores directly to SD card storage; Adjustable resolution to match available storage
