MQ2 Smoke Sensor Shield

An MQ-2 gas sensor mounted on a shield, detecting smoke and combustible gases including LPG, propane, methane and hydrogen. Provides both an analogue output proportional to gas concentration and a digital output that trips at an adjustable threshold. Two practical points: the sensor needs a warm-up period of a minute or two after power-on before readings settle, and it responds to a group of gases rather than identifying one specifically. Excellent as a safety alarm, not a calibrated measuring instrument.
